Joan Weipert - Clan Iain Abrach MacIain

To All:

Joan Weipert has been taken to the hospital, the cancer has moved to
her brain causing stroke-like symptoms. She will be move on Saturday to
Vallejo Kaiser. Family is at the hospital, Kurt is with Ken at home
(at the time of this posting). Further information will be distrubuted
as it becomes available.

Most of you know Ken & Joan from their many years of Faire. They have been the mainstay of the Scots Guilds for a very long time, and had to retire from Faire this past season due to their declining health.

      Just an FYI to let you know that Joan is home. I know Ken would love to
      hear from folks. My understanding is that they have hospice care
      helping for now. I am sad to say that it's really a matter of time
      before she passes. As you can imagine, this is extremely hard on her
      family, especially Ken. Please send a card, flowers, or phone...they
      would love to hear from you.
