Costume and history help

topic posted Wed, February 13, 2008 - 5:23 AM by  Culann
I'm in the process of trying to find patterns or someone who is able to make two kinds of hats common throughout but specfically for 16th Century. One is a phrygian cap and the other is called a crooked eared cap.

The other I'm doing research on O'Neills and their enemeis, right now focusing on the O'Donnells. Is there anyone who knows more on that. I am a part of Tuatha Ui Niall so I have a lot of the O'Niells side of things, just not her enemies. While I've read a number of things I'd like to correspond with someone more knowledgable of my subject.

    Hi Culann,
Given that you appear (in the photo) to be wearing Hamish's old Coata, I can assume that you know him. I would recommend asking him to put you in touch with Bridget. (He will know who I mean when you tell him that I sent you.)

I can not help you directly at this point as I no longer seem to have my research from my St. Kennoch's days on hand.

If that does not pan out, please PM me and I will try to help you dig up what I can.
